Achieving New Heights in the Sultanate of Oman…………. Launching of online Portal for Personal Lines Policies

The New India Assurance Company on 7th August, 2019 launched its web portal for personal lines of policies. The portal was launched by His Excellency Manu Mahawar, The Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman along with Mr. Ahmed Ali Saif Al Mamari, Executive Vice President, Capital Market Authority who is In-charge of Insurance Sector in the presence of Mr. Rakesh Adlakha, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India to Oman, Mr. Nasr Ahmed Al Salehi, Acting Director, Insurance Institutions Regulation Dept., Capital Marketing Authority, Mr. V.V.Raghavan, Chief Operating Officer, The New India Assurance Company, Oman Operations, Mr.Wilson Raj, Chief Financial Officer, Abdul Aziz & Brothers and Majid Group Companies, Mr. I.M. Jacob, General Manager Agency Operations and Mr.P.Muraleedharan, General Manager Marketing. The inaugural ceremony was also witnessed by specially invited guests and valued customers. In the inaugural address, H.E. Manu Mahawar acknowledged the excellent service parameters adopted by The New India Assurance and conveyed best wishes for new initiative. H.E. further assured that with the customer friendly attitude, The New India will go further heights in the Oman general insurance market and assured all support and co-operation from Indian Embassy as part of Indo Oman bilateral business relationship. Mr. Ahmed Ali Saif Al Mamari in his appreciated the excellent business culture, ethics and performance shown by New India Assurance during their operations in the Sultanate. He also congratulated M/s. Abdul Aziz & Brothers LLC and Majid Group Companies for taking an initiative in 1974 for bringing the Global Giant into Oman Soil by providing all support and assistance in growing with Oman economy. After the inauguration the first policy issued through the portal was handed over by Mr. Rakesh Adlakha, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India to Oman. Mr. Rakesh Adlakha has also in his speech appreciated New India’s performance as a global giant and especially the operations of the Sultanate. Mr. Nasr Ahmed AlSalehi in his speech appreciated New India for its move towards digitalization and the initiative taken towards upgradation of customer service parameters.

Mr. Raghavan, COO reaffirmed that the Company is committed to give more customized services to its valued customers and the general public based on their specific needs and requirements. He also expressed hope that more customers will use the new initiate of the company and business will. He briefed about the purchase of online personal line policies such as Motor, health, Personal Accident, Travel etc. through Mr.Raghavan also thanked His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Sayed and citizens of Oman for their support to The New India Assurance Co.

Mr.I.M. Jacob, General Manager Agency Operations expressed his gratitude towards the support and business relationship extended by expatriate community and the Omani nationals and hopes with the introduction of digital platform, the company can have more business prosperity in the days to come. He further stated that New India Assurance Company is in the process of spreading their wings far and wide to reach out the customers of interior areas along with the developing cities. The launching of New India’s online portal for personal line policies will enable the Nationals and the expats communities to purchase such policies online which are our endeavor to serve its valued customers more closely and also to reach out every nook and corner of the Sultanate.

In the concluding and thanks conveying messages Mr. Tawfee and Ms. Nargis, Senior Officials thanked the dignitaries and eminent personalities who have attended the meeting. They also expressed that New India Assurance Company Ltd. Oman Operations is always grateful to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the people of Oman for accepting New India as the preferred insurer of Oman and allowing being grown as the largest General Insurance companies operating in the country. It is New India’s vision to provide best customer services beyond the industry standards to the general public and also to cater all insurance needs of every citizen of the country within an affordable premium amount. It is also expressed that with the launch of online web portal, New India can have more clientele and business with the support of the general public, local regulators/ authorities and corporate entities.
