NEW INDIA ASSURANCE BIDS ADIEU TO DR. K.P.SEBASTIAN CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER ON 18.07.2019

New India Assurance Company Ltd. Sultanate of Oman conducted a farewell function in the honour of the outgoing Chief Operating Officer of Oman Operations Dr.K.P. Sebastian on 18th July, 2019 at New India Head Office Hamriya, Sultanate of Oman.

Dr.K.P.Sebastian was the Chief Operating Officer for Oman operations of The New India Assurance Co Ltd, since 2015, whose assignment in Oman got over on 18th July, 2019 on completion of 4 years.

The new Chief Operating Officer is Mr. V.V.Raghavan, who holds an excellent professional record in the field of General Insurance sector – has been with New India Assurance Co. Ltd – the largest Non-life Insurer owned by Government of India for 32 years. He has completed Fellowship in General Insurance from Insurance Institute of India. Prior to this foreign assignment Mr Raghavan was the Divisional Manager, Trissur Division –II, Kerala. Mr. Raghavan was the Coordinator for implementation of computerization in all offices under Kerala Region and member of team which finalized vendor for CWISS and accounts software.

During his inaugural speech Mr. I. M. Jacob, General Manager (Agency Operations) and Mr. P.Muraleedharan, General Manager (Marketing) thanked and conveyed their gratitude on the support and co-operation received from Dr. K.P.Sebastian during his tenure as Chief Operating Officer, New India Oman Operations.

They also welcomed the new COO, Mr. V.V.Raghavan and assured their full support and co-operation for achieving the objectives set out by him during his service period. They hope that with Mr.Raghavan’s vide exposure in various fields of General Insurance, New India will able to maintain its prime position in Oman amongst foreign insurance companies. Further, they hope that while utilizing Mr.Raghavan’s vast experiences, New India can aggressively expand its network in entire Oman by adding more clientele in its alley.

In the get-together gathering Dr. Sebastian introduced the newly joined Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Raghavan to the staff members present. Dr. Sebastian further briefed the overall experience and various milestones that Mr.Raghavan has achieved during his service period with New India Assurance Company in India in various capacities.

Staff Members present expressed their gratitude towards the timely support and guidance extended by Dr.Sebastian as Chief Operating Officer for business and overall performances during last 4 years and expect that the same business approach will continue with the newly joined COO, Mr. Raghavan.

Mr. Raghavan in his introductory speech briefed the need to improve the customer service and strengthen the marketing force and assured unconditional support and co-operation for building the business relations even stronger in the coming days.

During his speech Mr.Raghavan also expressed his business plans and amongst others one of the key objectives is that to widen New India’s operations in Oman and also to empower and involve Omani Nationals by providing them with adequate training in general insurance knowledge and services.

Dr. Sebastian thanked and conveyed his gratitude towards the support and co-operation received from each and every one of the intermediaries for discharging his duties and the staff members of New India Oman operations in attaining various milestones during his service period in the Sultanate of Oman.
